If the Ten Towns had a capital it would be Brynn Shander. Typically the first stop for travellers and traders from the south, Brynn Shander is by far the most cosmopolitan town in the North. It also features a population of 1,200 people and the largest complement of organized defenses in the Ten Towns. A 30 foot wall encircles the entire settlement. The walls are manned by guards at all times, and Brynn Shanders 3 gates remained closed during darkness (more often than not these days)
Duvessa Shayne is the young speaker of Brynn Shander, and represents the Ten Towns in world affairs. Markham Southwell is the Sherriff and supports her in every way he can.
Black Iron Blades is well known throughout the towns – for affordable equipment and arms, but also infamous for the low quality of these goods. A Common joke among Ten Towners about hapless newcomers meeting their demise in the wilderness : “An he was carrying a Blackiron Blade to boot!”
