Our Heroes, having worked their way to the what seemed to be the merciful end of the Caves of Hunger, decided to investigate the many smooth walled slides they’d encountered throughout the complex. They slid down into the darkness with wanton abandon and were unable to stop themselves from careening into the hot bubbling pools of water below
The heat was welcome, but these pools were home to young remhoraz worms, dangerous arctic predators.
These interior caves were a nest, full of Remhoraz eggs and hot pools for them to rest in. The young worms were made short work of, and Yrso found herself slightly disappointed by the legendary creatures. A deeper cave, however, contained a fully grown adult Remhoraz, 20 feet in diameter and coiled around a vast cave. This one proved far more dangerous, Lynneaa and Vellyne nearly became a pile of bones inside the intense digestive processes of the beast.
Eventually, the beast dispatched, our heroes ventured further into a chamber that appeared to double back on the Dryad’s grove, and found an ancient observatory inhabited by Drow.
Two Drow warriors and a mage put up a fight before being subdued by our heroes, and now the mage has been imprisoned and prepared for interrogation
