Our Heroes pressed on in the Caves of Hunger.
They slew a dozen shadows and were immediately attacked by the vampire hyena. Dzaan nearly met his end.
They found a room with a dozen headless corpses, the room was heavy with an unidentified curse. Our Heroes opted not to find out what it was and left the corpses alone.
They entered a cave complex within the glacier, where cackling could be heard throughout, along with incessant yipping that made their kobold companions uncomfortable. Vellyne returned with them to the safety of the destroyed tower until our heroes could put an end to the yipping.
Pressing forward, they encountered a room inhabited by vampire kobolds. Far more dangerous than their live counterparts, but our heroes managed to slay them before they could retreat deeper into the complex.
Our heroes came across a group of snow golems, easily dispatched by a fireball, and whose teeth were made of beads of force. A fine treasure.
A wraith with a penchant for drama attacked our heroes, and was slain. A corpse was found nearby, it looked as though this fellow had ransacked Ythrn before attempting to flee through the caves.
Our heroes found a room inhabited by a terrifying being beneath translucent ice. They turned around to re-visit the kobold caves.
Here they met the Hyena vampire once again, in a room smelling of death, riddled with bones and blood.
