The Duergar Aftermath

The Duergar have retreated back to the Underdark. Xardorok and his sons have been slain, leaving the Sunblight Clan without an heir. Grandolpha has assumed the role of warlord.

Brynn Shandar hosts many of the displaced Ten Towners, and the Duergar were moderately successful in a campaign of assassination prior to the Dragon attack – targetting those in leadership and security roles. Conditions in the Ten Towns are more tense than ever before as resources grow more scarce and authority becomes more difficult to maintain.

Dougan’s Hole

Dougan’s Hole has been reduced to rubble, though the town was successfully evacuated and the displaced townsfolk (50 people) were granted a corner of Brynn Shander under the shadow of the walls.

Good Mead

Good Mead was destroyed by the Chardalyn dragon but successfully evacuated. The Mead Hall remains standing. A handful of former residents including Good Mead’s new speaker Shandar have returned to live in and maintain the Mead Hall but most (90 people) remain in a crowded Ghetto of Brynn Shander that was set aside for refugees.

Easthaven

Easthaven was spared destruction by modifying the Dragon’s flight path. Duergar Spies who waited for the dragon’s arrival were rooted out and killed by Easthaven’s guards.

Caer Dineval and Caer Konnig

The people of the Caers stayed to defend their homes. Ultimately the harbour of Caer Dinneval was destroyed, but the Chardalyn dragon was stopped here. Survivors who lost their homes have migrated to Caer Konnig or Easthaven. Caer Dineval’s ornery speaker remains in his keep with his servants with barely a town to lead. Speaker Trovus in Caer Konnig didn’t even realize there was a crisis, as he was fast asleep in a snowbank dreaming of wine.
