After our heroes restored sunlight in the ten towns, Yrso spent her time in celebration in a tour of the town.
She met Scython, the former ferry captain in Easthaven. With the Lake frozen over and the Ferry inoperable he spent his days at the Wet Trout tavern. He has his ear to the ground and usually has a good handle on everything that happens in the Ten Towns, especially Easthaven and the Caers. With the sun out he started cleaning up his ferry and found evidence of squatters (which surprised him, he knows everything!).
She was been banned from the aforementioned Wet Trout, after an argument with the proprietor, an unapologetic worshipper of Auril named “Nymetra”.
While travelling to Dougan’s hole she realized the daylight fades abruptly. The sun appears to be centred on the location of the black cabin, and only extends so far from that point.
Attempts to corral ten town leadership against the Duergar mostly fell on deaf ears. Everyone is too paranoid about neighbouring towns to commit forces against a vague threat of unseen dwarves. Even Easthaven, who directly experienced a Duergar attack, are reluctant to commit forces, believing that a defensive approach will protect them from rival towns.
Vellyne can be considered a contact, she has taken the threat of Duergar seriously and seems sincere in her desire to assist you and the party. She’ll provide honest answers to any questions.
In Good Mead Yrso met the new speaker Shandar and made enough of an impression that she could consider him a contact. He’s not necessarily ‘nice’ but he’s friendly with her, and considers her a friend. He boasts about his friendship with the speaker of Targos
Religious service: During a week of service Yrso received an omen. There is a sense that if she continues on her path she will have an opportunity to see personal justice delivered. She also sees that the daylight conjured by the Summer Star is temporary, and the growing shadow of Auril will eventually blot out the sun again, and that the consequences from the 2nd long night will be severe. Egress from the Ten Towns remains impossible.
