Episode 6 – Party Time and Moose Meat

Our Heroes, having returned triumphantly from the Termalaine mines, enjoyed some well-deserved r&r at the Blue Clam. Ale was enjoyed by all, Trex and the other kobolds were welcomed and Largo performed a compelling rendition of “Fast Car”.

During a particularily raccous moment, Yrso used her new Psi Crystal to telepathically communicate with another patron. This inadvertantly convinced the patron he’d had enough to drink.

Efforts to gather rumors in the inn were mostly fruitless, but Vernon did mention his hunter friends who’d gone missing near Lonelywood, hunting a white moose.

Previous deeds by our heroes were also recognized, such as the Lake Monster now being known to be a helpful presence in the lake

Our heroes decided to take up the search for this moose, and travelled by dog sled to Lonelywood, where they met Nimsey Huddle. She offered cookies and gold for the head of the moose, but was open to cooperation if it was possible.

The search through lonely wood led to a regular moose. Lynaea used her druidly abilities to speak with his moose for information regarding a location to search. A new set of tracks led past a group of Chwingas, playful elemental spirits. The Chwinga were ecstatic that their antics were humoured by our heroes, and bestowed magic charms to aid in the harsh climate.

Eventually, the tracks led to a hidden elven tomb featuring a huge magical moondial.

Our heroes were able to open a magical sarcophagus by replicating an ancient ritual, revealing a mummified moon elf named Sahnar. The elf couldn’t remember much about his life, but was happy to discuss things related to the moondial. He also offered his servitude, whether our heroes want it or not.

The interior of the tomb contained a number of mundane animals guarded by the white moose, who was in the midst of devouring an unlucky hunter. This moose, who revelled in bloodshed, was handily dispatched by our heroes.

The final room in the back of the tomb contained the Frost Druid Ravisin and her belongings, as well as a small awakened shrub. She made a feeble attempt to hide, and when noticed, she jumped up and called out “Ten Towns will be destroyed – if not by me then by the Frostmaiden!”
