Termalaine is a picturesque mining town of 600 people. Termalaine sacrifices warmth to Auril once every tenday – extinguishing all flames for 24 hours.
The town’s main export, aside from the typical fishing and scrimshaw industries, is gems mined from a mine northeast of the town.
The mine is currently occupied by kobolds and has been closed off to civilian miners.
Session 5 update
The town speaker is a half orc named Oarus Mayhew, a good natured man who spends most of his time with miners and other townsfolk at the Blue Clam tavern. He was pragmatic enough not to send the town guard into the mines to clear out what he beleived could be a threat from underdark, and opted instead to send more qualified adventurers to deal with the problem.
